Addis
Ababa HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Office – A government
organization established in Ethiopia to tackle the issue of HIV/AIDS.
Funding sources are from multinational institutions (like the
World Bank), UN agencies (like UNICEF) and it, in turn, finances
the activities of NGOs, CBOs etc. working to combat HIV/AIDS.
For the last three years it has funded the care and support
of PLWHA and orphan projects of HAPCSO.

Aid-Ethiopia – provided a one time small
grant in 2001-2002 for Community Based HIV/AIDS Prevention and Support. |

Supports
and helps fund HAPCSO programs for home care and orphans and vulnerable
chidren. |

IPAS-Ethiopia – works
globally to improve women's lives through focus on reproductive health.
Has provided funding for the past two years for those projects focused
on family planning and reproductive health.

Irish
Aid – provided a one time small grant
in 2001 for Community Based HIV/AIDS Prevention and Support for a project
targeting youth.

People
to People-Sweden – established by an
Ethiopian living in Sweden. The members of this organization are individuals committed
to the fight against HIV/AIDS. HAPCSO's prevention activities, especially
those focused on information, communication and behavioral changes are
funded by this organization. The first phase of the project came to an
end in December 2002. Currently, the second phase is being implemented |

Save
the Children-Norway in Ethiopia – has been
funding activities since the start of HAPCSO; primarily supports
projects focused on orphans. Also donated HAPCSO'S only vehicle. |

UNAIDS – in
2002, funded a project on Youth Counseling Training and Assessment
of the Driving Force on Delinquent activities in the garbage dumping
site located in HAPCSO'S project area.

| |
USAID/PACT – Hapcso
signed a three year project agreement with USAID/PACT. The project
commenced in July, 2002 and is scheduled to phase
out by the year 2005. Funding contributes to projects focused on the care
and support of PLWHA and orphans.
